ARTIST RESEARCH.

ANTONY GORMLEY.
Gormley is a British sculptor best known for the Angel of the North in Gateshead and Another Place on Grosby beach near Liverpool. The majority of his work is based on the human form where he uses his own body for the basis of the metal cast. The technique he uses is casting plaster and scrim. Gormley covers his body in Vaseline and then clingfilm and then starts the plastering process.
The mould is then cast in iron.
